It's such an incredible view back to history with a lot of artifacts. Very well organized and surrounded by a garden that is worth a visit. And the area offers a cute restaurant with a view over Funchal and high-standard dishes. If I return to Madeira, I return to this spot!

Nice museum and gardens. Not very big but will occupy you for an hour or so. Cafe on site really nice and would recommend stopping for lunch or a refreshment. €3 to get into the museum but gardens are free.

Nice place to wander around for about an hour or so. Photos are allowed inside. Each room has English language placards to explain the interiors and decor. Found it all fascinating.
