Amusing and very interesting way to get to know Coimbra university history. There are several interacting experiments with light to get to know some science phenomena. Recommended for all ages. Very useful to buy the ticket online with also other attractions included

We enjoyed the Science Museum very much, but about 1/3rd of the interactice displays did not work. The people in the museum were very nice, but the people in the ticket office were very rude. Basically chastised us for not hearing what they said, and accused us of lying about what were were told by one of museum employees.

An amazing museum that contains the historical scientific collections of 18th and 19th century of the Physics apparatus , the collections of botanics, zoology, anthropology and mineralogy. The University of Coimbra is among oldest universities in Europe. This museum is the most important science museum of Portugal and one the prominent ones in Europe. normal ticket 5,00 €, students and seniors 3,50 €.
