There was a nice costume room to look at old costumes; and if you have children there is a room to smell scents that come from certain materials, which was quite enjoyable. I did however have an issue with the random objects that are just placed in the rooms. There was mouse poo in one of the rooms, but it was surrounded by toilet paper and little blue sheets of paper (I’m guessing the mouse poo was not on purpose?). There was also no air conditioning, so on a hot summer day in Venice it was not very comfortable.

The mocenigo palace is one of the many palaces in Venice to visit. Although there are high contrasts in the reviews, sometimes because of the modern art installations trying to contrast with the palace, I must say that I enjoyed my visit. It is dedicated to costumes and perfumes with some interactive possibilities to smell, for example, the basic ingredients of ancient perfumes. When I visited, there were indeed some modern art installations where it could help to give some explenation on the concept as it was not always easy to understand. On the other hand it didn't bother me as the grandeur of the palace and its interior are wurthwile the visit.
