Visited here on Wednesday and surprisingly discovered that it’s free for Wednesday night. But the musical instruments part will be closed at night, I didn’t check the time so I missed it >< Before we talk about the museum ——— you need to know that this museum has a FANTASTIC shop. If you’re a tourist like me, you can find everything you need here —— they have a lot of interesting toys, stationeries, cards and souvenir. Another fantastic thing is they also sell vintage postcards! I want to send my big thank you to the museum shop lady! She’s super friendly and professional, I didn’t get a chance to ask her her name, or I would like to write a thank you letter to the museum for their amazing staff:) I spent a decade there to go through all these interesting cards. She replied all my questions and even shared some fun fact about German culture with me! I kind of feel I’m also in an exhibition of the museum haha. Highly recommend to visit the shop! For the museum itself —— It’s 10 mins walk from the main train station, super convenient! There’re a lot of food near by. All staffs are super friendly. Toilets are clean, the cafe is adorable. The museum has a lot of interesting thing! My favorite part will be the memorial shield… the design of Nuremberg’s memorial shield is so different from other parts of Europe. The museum building is also super cool, I took tons of photos on my Instagram.

The presentation of the art and history of Nuremburg is beautiful. I'm disappointed I didn't come here sooner. Recommend watching Rick Steve's video on this museum and other videos to get acquainted first to make sense of it. My favorite is the folk art area, as it has great home decors! So underrated!

4 hours and were not enough to see everything in this amazing place. Very well organised, staff were very helpful with the only negative being that many explanatory notes were only in German, nothing Google Translate can't handle. Definitely worth visiting again.
