Musée Saint-Raymond, the archeological museum of Toulouse, opened in 1892. The site originally was a necropolis, and in later constructions was a hospital for the poor and pilgrims, prison, student residence, stables, barracks and presbytery, eventually becoming a museum in 1891. It is housed in the former Saint-Raymond university college dating from the sixteenth century that borders Basilica of Saint-Sernin.

An interesting archeological museum about the early middle ages around the Toulouse city area. Not too massive, but it's an interesting destination for those who want to learn more about the history of Toulouse and the surrounding area. This can be a stop after you explore the street as well as the church next door.

Excellent museum focussing on Roman era Toulouse and environs. It has a great display of portrait sculpture from a nearby villa excavation, a display of burial artefacts from the site of the museum. They're displayed where they were found. And then lots of other interesting stuff. Well worth a visit
