Delightful place and a pity we don’t cook. Else it’s a paradise to buy fresh ingredients to cook. The stalls outside the market hall is just as interesting. Had my first mirabelle. €4 per kilo! It was a bagful. Plenty of cheese and seafood and meats. Small jewelry and trinkets were also on sale and lots to take it. Check opening days and hours. Closes at 1pm.

Well, you would defenitly miss something if you go to Dijon without a visit to the central market. Especially on saturday the atmosphere is great, you will find some of the best food and can drink a coffee at the "Buvette" while watching the busy market.

A typical Les Halls in France. You will find the usual vendors selling fresh fruit and vegetables, cheeses, breads, patisserie, meats etc. was very clean and orderly. was hoping to find some local foods like escargot, beef burgundy but didn't find anything. still, a perfectly nice place to visit if you haven't seen a les halls before but we found it to be much of a muchness to the rest of them in France
