I visited Colmar in an early morning and the town was sleeping under the fog. The village was too peaceful and silent to be waken up. I was impressed by the architecture of houses here as if I was lost in the fairy tales or wonderland where everything was poetic and magical. People here are friendly. They have a market where I had a cup of coffee with a biscuit, also a flea market with many vegetables, and products from merchants.

Walking around la petite Venice is like walking into fairyland. With cute Timber-wood and colourful houses all around. We visited twice once in Christmas and once around Jan 1st week. It has a different charm. Highly recommend a boat ride

If Strasbourg have La Petite France, Colmar have La Petite Venise. Both of places are beautiful but my personal opinion is that La Petite Venise was better. Because this place gave me the mood of The Beauty and The Beast. I thought that I could meet the Belle in here. This place is small place but give you big amuse. Please walk this area on your own feet.
