Very interesting museum with lots of artifacts providing a vivid glimpse of life in older Alsace. A slight downside was the shortage of audio guides when we arrived. This limited the information to mostly French and German but still provided an interesting experience. Maybe get there early for a guide in English.

It's a must visit if you have a couple of hours in Strasbourg. Very well setup museum with good explanation (remember to ask for the audio guide at the ticket desk since they don't hand it out as default). Explains the history, the architecture, the dress code, the furniture, the stains used in the furniture, the sections of a typical house. The section on religion and especially the part on the exhibition in Nancy is boring

Learnt a lot about the Alsacian culture here. Good place to spend an hour or two in the afternoon of a hot summer day. I wished if they had the descriptions written in English as well, so I didn’t have to use Google translate all the time. The lady at the reception desk was really nice and friendly. My mom got a free admission being over 60. I know they have a reduced entry fee for students.
