Unfortunately the castle was closed on a Tuesday, but we could take a little peek through the gates and I can just imagine how nice it must be to visit the inside.

Wonderful Castle to visit with many interesting artifacts to discover as you self tour. Make sure you take all 90 some odd steps to the top of the tower!!!

We have just spent a lovely couple of hours wandering around the Chateau de Montrottier - an unexpected stop off. The Chateau is full of interesting collections from one of the former owners and the view from the top of the castle tower is amazing. Make sure you stay for one of the tours by the local guide - Valentin he knows lots of interesting facts about the castle, it’s owners and it’s artefacts.
